Money laundering prevention & transparency
Combating money laundering and terrorist financing is a fundamental obligation for us – both legally and ethically. As a company based in Switzerland, we adhere strictly to the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), the Ordinance on Combating Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (AMLO-FINMA) and international standards, in particular the recommendations of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
Our measures are based on a risk-based approach and are tailored to the special features of selling digital goods such as vouchers and e-vouchers.
Risk-oriented approach & digital sales channels
The digital sale of vouchers and e-vouchers, often in real time, poses specific risks with regard to money laundering and fraud. To safeguard these processes:
Do we carry out transaction-related risk analyses
Let’s categorize customer groups, payment methods and countries by risk level
Let’s set maximum limits for transaction volumes and frequency
We recognize conspicuous order patterns (e.g. serial purchases with new identities)
Know Your Customer (KYC) & identity verification
We carry out comprehensive checks to ensure safe distribution:
Obligation to provide correct personal data before ordering
Use of automated checks against international sanctions lists (SECO, EU, OFAC, etc.)
Check for politically exposed persons (PEP) and their relatives
Address verification in certain cases (e.g. for higher order values)
In the event of anomalies: manual check and, if necessary, ID card request
Use of prevention software & WooCommerce integrations
To protect our platform, we use specialized AML and fraud detection plugins that are integrated into our WooCommerce store system. This software supports us with:
the automated comparison of customer and payment data with known risk patterns
blocking or withholding orders in the event of suspicious circumstances
real-time analysis of location data, proxy usage and means of payment
Automated detection of unusual purchasing behavior (e.g. many purchases in a short period of time)
Transaction monitoring & behavior recognition
All orders are monitored in real time
Limitation for parallel purchases of the same customer/IP
Pattern matching with known fraudulent transactions (e.g. stolen credit cards, VPN clusters)
Automated alerting of our compliance team in the event of anomalies
Suspicious activity reports to the Swiss Money Laundering Reporting Office Switzerland (MROS), if required by law
Cooperation with authorities & partners
We work closely with official bodies and verified service providers to guarantee legally compliant and ethically sound processing:
Use of certified payment providers with PCI DSS compliance
Cooperation with KYC partners and anti-fraud service providers
Supporting investigating authorities in the investigation of criminal offenses
No delivery of digital products in the event of suspicious circumstances
Internal control & employee training
Our company has appointed an AML officer (MLRO)
Regular training for relevant employees on AML, fraud prevention & data protection
Internal escalation procedure for suspected cases
Access controls according to the “need-to-know” principle
Customer communication & obligations to cooperate
We reserve the right to do so as part of our duty of care:
Request further information on identity, origin of funds or transaction purpose
Temporarily block orders until they have been fully checked
Terminate the customer relationship in the event of refusal to cooperate
Trust through security
Our AML policy is continuously reviewed and adapted to new legal, technical and industry-specific developments. We focus on the prevention of abuse, money laundering and fraudulent behavior – for a fair and secure shopping experience.
